Please don’t leave us! The hate on this site needs to end.

Hate is everywhere. But it's up to the individual to focus on it or not. Strange that all sorts of people are on this site, some love it, some have great experiences, some hate it but we're all seeing the same things, interacting with the same people for the most part. Being able to ignore or look past the negativity is a skill many need to learn.

I agree to an extent. Everyone does react differently to content, and a healthy self-esteem is the best defense of all. However:

—We can’t expect young people to have as well-developed egos as us older folks.

—“Hate is everywhere.” Yes and no. In every case, a real person instigates it. And many people say hurtful things online that they would never dream of saying in real life. That’s not something we should excuse. I see no reason to believe that online communication is any different than real life at the end of the day. There are real people behind every screenname.

—Harassment and even “making the site less fun for others” is prohibited by ImgFlip TOS. Everyone is bound to have a different interpretation of what that means. Personally, I think a lot of stuff is permitted that ImgFlip would be well within its rights to delete. So some share of my criticism falls on the Global MODs and other Stream MODs for that matter.

Some hater on my recent meme, "LaceyRobbins1 Is Very Curious pt.", decideed to just be mean to me, so what I did? I stood up for myself and blocked him/her. Don't believe me, just check out the comments in that recent meme I just mentioned. He/she's probably still being me to mean in the meme's comments after I had already blocked him/her. I still need some help, I don't know if I should flag him/her or if I should make another intervention (but it's okay too if you want to help out).
