We're in the fundamentally transformed America where God is banned because he makes the pc babies cry too much and is afraid that pc principal might do something to him.

He's not banned. I think worshipping God is fine, whether you're Christian, Muslim, Jewish etc. I don't believe in God, but I won't impede other's civil rights because I'm not religious.

Yet here is your following comment on this meme:

"Octavia_Melody

It must be true because a book says it :) too bad you refuse to provide any evidence to support that BS claim. What was it you said? Oh yeah, you don't need to provide any evidence. That's your way of saying you don't actually have any."

From Creche scenes in public, the 10 Commandments in goverment buildings, Christmas trees in Seattle's airport, "In God we trust" on our money, "...under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, and a wole mess of other stuff, Ahtheists have waged a campaign to censor that which they do not believe exists because it threatens them how?

Funny you don't see them insisting on going to work on Christmas day though...

Actually the opposite.
Why is it that the 2 most cited Amendements - the 1st & the 2nd - are cited by people who've never bothered to read them?

First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Congress makes no laws respecting an establishment of religion on a local or state level.
Further, Congress or the Judiciary attempting to interfere with such would be prohibiting the free exercise of religion and abridging the freedom of speech revolving around it, as well as inhibiting the right of the people to peaceably assemble in the name of their chosen religion.
In fact, petitioning the government throught the courts for a redress of grievances concerning such has often found in their favor, citing long term tradition which has gone beyond their original sectarian roots and has established them as part of secular culture. In some cases compromises have been made such as allowing holiday displays for other religins in the same public areas.

Was in response to this:

"The examples you gave are instances where there's a very real risk of an Establishment Clause violation, in the form of a government endorsement of religion."

But that was me goofing it up for the sake of flowing nicely instead of just addressing points as they come.

I was meaning that in accordance to it as originally intended (obviously interpretations have drifted since, just like the 2nd), the protection from establishment was in the case that Congress should try to do so on the Federal level. So it was really meant to protect State's rights in establishing a state religion if they so choose, or for people to practice as they would.

Anyways, I'm off to bed zoning out, catch ya in a few,,,

Come on man, we've had this discussion at least TWICE. In one after I said at least 2 had State religions on the books (Mass? & Virginia? Not sure, been a while), 1 of those even having a religious test required to hold state office. You looked it up, verified it for yourself, and added what?

It's all about State's Rights, and the worries that the 13 nations - yes, the Federation of United States of America is NOT a country - would have control from a centralized federal gov't supplant theirs.

The 2nd Amendment's recent Supreme Court finding in 2007 aside, basically gave free men the right to get conscripted into military service FOR FREE! So they best have their rifles ready. Yeah, you have the right to get drafted and at your own cost ta boot. Awesome.

Like I said 11hrs ago,

"Why is it that the 2 most cited Amendements - the 1st & the 2nd - are cited by people who've never bothered to read them?"

The 2 most overused, abused, and misunderstood Amendments ever.

Dr Hittinger in the last one? Fordham > Catholic U > Arizona?

A lot has changed in almost 2.5 centuries. We have multiple professional standing armies, effectively making the 2nd now unnecessary, but instead people are, well, up in arms over it.
What was meant to protect the autonomy of States has been warped into individuals with zealous agendas trying to bend the States to suit their personal grievance against what they ironicaly claim is a nonexistent God.
I've always said no one believes in God more than an Atheist. With them, it's personal.

That is just a statement of fact. I cannot and am not trying to convince you. I do hope you listen to the Holy Spirit and get saved.

islam is just another false religion, just like global warming and evolution.
