Also why does the ghost have to make a big production ( levitating the chair ) to prove it's there? I lived in a really old building (considered historical) and when I first moved in I had a lamp that would flicker for no reason at all, in addition I knew many people who passed away there while I lived there. I've taken this as well as a couple other instances in different places, as a reason to believe.

You sadden me because you assume I don't believe. There's a difference between disbelieving and debunking. To be honest, I've seen too many "things" I cannot fully explain ( or debunk) to be able to call myself a total disbeliever. Now....
