I'm pressed for time, so I apologize for how short and direct this reply is going to be.
Basically, I was born with the surname Beckett, although I found out only recently that it was supposed to be LeBonte. Beckett is the last name of the man who was kind enough to donate his sperm to my mother shortly before he left her to pursue other adventures. Other adventures = Other women! lol
I eventually got tired of being the only one in my household with the last name Beckett, so I asked my mother to please change it to LeBonte, which was her last name via a previous marriage. I was 9 years old at the time. This was in 1976.
