My Depression

My Depression | My depression is a stream I stand in while I fish for peace
On sunny days, I stand with confidence, my footing solid as its clear waters gently tug at my ankles revealing the sharp edges to avoid and the calm pools to cast my mind.
On cloudy days, the water is swift, murky. The stones beneath my feet threaten to slip from under me. I search for a place to stand.
On rainy days, the once gentle stream is a raging river of despair, bursting the levees of my heart. Reaching for shore, I am lost.
