read desc or comments | story time!! this happened yesterday
so i finally got off the cruise, right? we need to take a train to get home.
but there was a strike there, so a lot of delays happened. we got there early, so we had to wait 1 hour for the train to arrive. but turns out it got cancelled due to the strike - and we just found out as we were already at the arrival area - so we had to go back. note that there were a lot of stairs we had to get through and we had heavy luggage and backpacks. also feet were swollen. was not fun. but after that hassle, we had to wait around 2 hours and 20 minutes. we ran to get to the train (with still the same conditions as before) and i even tripped and fell twice on the stairs and scratched myself. and i also lost my keychain souvenir...
but anyway, after 10 minutes on the train, the electricity turned off and turns out our driver was thinking about going on strike as well (apparently AFTER they ALREADY showed up to work and people got on) so we waited on the train (just in case) in disappointment, and just as we were about to get off, we were told to wait more. we still had the heavy luggage and the space was small.
turns out that they did go on strike so we had to get off and wait for another train.
all the seats on the benches were gone (gee i wonder if it's maybe because everyone can't get on their train due to the strike) so we had to sit on the floor.
so many trains got 40 minute delays, then 60 minutes, then cancelled altogether.
we eventually had to order a 2 hour taxi (Even though we already had bought tickets) because we were desperate. and also the electricity in the overall train station turned off for a second and i assume it was due to the strike.
we got there early in the morning (about 10 am i think) and got home at about 4 pm and were exhausted by having stayed up late until 11 pm to do last minute cruise things and the entire thing was a hassle --; -the strike at the train station was crazy- | image tagged in robotnik christmas | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
