This is something of an experiment. I made a meme with exactly the same phrase a couple days ago. I made up the line. I am comparing to see if the unattribute version is more or less compelling than the fake attribution to Lincoln.

Getting old will do that to a person. :)

That's the real challenge. Saying that we hold on to burdens we don't have to is easy. Actually letting them go is a lot harder. I like to think recognizing the once that are self inflicted is a good first step to letting them go.

This is supposed to be inspiring, not depressing.

Sometimes burdens are crushing us just because we won't put them down.
