It doesn't matter who's team is winning. We are all losing when children are being locked in cages, due process is being ignored, people are shipped off to death camps in countries they have zero affiliation with, and basic rights are being removed... We are all losing. End authoritarian control, or suffer it happening to you and your family some day. It doesn't take much thought to realize a simple truth like that.
I've dealt with similar where Mormons, and then Catholics, were only hiring their own, to take control of the community, so they could drive others out, and take control of local politics. Granted that is something that many Jews actually were doing in Germany, which lead to some of the initial hatred towards them.
However looking into SALT at all shows that they take in homeless and abused youth, teach them about Jesus, and give them basic career training. Probably some of the individuals involved are far left, which sparked the concern in the video you linked, but the organization overall is conservative.
