I get that many conservatives are Christian, but this is ridiculous? Are you seriously trying to find parallels between Ancient Middle East and modern Western Civilization? I won’t even concentrate on the fact that many bad things about Baal and his worshipers are written in the Bible and thus aren’t very trustworthy. I’ll just say that both Israelites and Amorites had much more in common with each other than any of them with modern Americans on either side of political spectrum.
No, because if you can’t prevent everything, it doesn’t mean you can’t do something. At least by wearing a mask I reduce the risk of getting other people infected.
A dumb comparison. The opposite would be more logical - just like the soldiers sacrifice their comfort and safety to protect the society, mask wearers agree to bear certain difficulties to preserve public immunity.
