We are so thankful for how Brooke created our Hope Tree. We wanted somehow to recognize the 100 people that donated over $50,000, so we could purchase and remodel our building. Our donors are our roots. No one sees them, but without them, we would have no building, no tree or leaves.
As for the leaves, each leaf will have a name of child that has come through our program. We wanted to have all the children that have come through our program on the leaves of our tree, but over the last 17 years, we have had nearly 1000 children come through our program. Not enough leaves. So we are starting fresh, and our plan is to have a plaque next to the tree to remember these children.
Our mission is simple: One child, One family at a time, with our community of faith, we strive to make a difference in the lives of homeless families by providing shelter, support and the means to sustain their independence.
