Nah, not even the real x. I'd intentionally put the fake x in every single ad I put in my game that way even if people clicked the x they'd still be sent to the app store.
If I made a mobile game and had to put in ads, then I wouldn't include the x at all, that way players get sent to the app store no matter where they tapped on the screen.
