It doesn't work as well in the community because people don't wear them properly or think that they can do anything they normally would do pre-covid just because of the mask. It's the exact same reason I have to tell parents to put the pfd on their kids properly and they still have to pay attention to them. You seem to have assumed that I go around yelling at people to wear a mask. I don't, I don't know what their situation is and I don't want to make assumptions about people. I only take issue to people who spread misinformation about masks and fake medical conditions to try and get out of wearing a mask.

The whole point of the masks is to limit how far your droplets can go. Most of them and therefore most of covid-19's transmission vectors are going to get caught in the mask. My mask doesn't protect me, it protects you. I am putting myself into an uncomfortable situation to limit the possibility of you getting infected just in case I'm infected and asymptomatic, I would really like it if other people would show the same courtesy.

Yeah I'm gonna call bullshit on that. I have ptsd that gets triggered by wearing a mask, my classmate has asthma, my little brother has autism and doesn't like having things cover his face. We all wear masks. Please do not use our conditions as an excuse for your own inability to adjust to change.
