I think it just depends on what genuinly helps you be closer to God. I think a style of mysic can help people in some situations, but in other situations be bad for them. So I dont know weather metal would be good or bad for you. But you can see if it helps you be closer to God
Idk my favotire. But one I like is “fear not” I dont know the full verse. Also the ones in Psalm 23(The Lord is my Shepherd). And also layely I have been liking Galations 5 cuz I memorized it.
