Givling - You Need Help, Huh? in fun
0 ups, 6y
TL;DR - You can buy your way to the top of the Givling student loan payoff queue.

Unfortunately, for me, I don't have the means to do this, or throw the same amount at my student loan. That's why I am begging you, dear viewer, to consider downloading the Givling app (for iOS or Android), and sign up using my invite code (EB46107). I don't expect to be able to get two thousand folks to sign up (I'm nearly two million behind the #100 position), but every person who takes five minutes to do this will help me move closer to the goal, and you'll be helping everyone else move forward, because you'll be indirectly funding the person in the number-one spot, at no cost to you.

Again, the app is called Givling, and the invite code is EB46107.

Thank you for your time!

Some clarification:

Givling is a company whose mission statement is to pay off student loans (up to $50,000), through a kind of crowdfunding. They do this through money raised from ad revenue, completion of partner offers by members, and direct funding from members.

Loans are paid off, based on a member's position in the queues. There are two queues - orange (less competitive) and green (competitive). A member's position in either queue is determined by queue points.

Members earn points in the orange queue in a number of ways:

- playing the trivia game (you can play for free twice a day, getting 100 points for playing, plus another 1,000 for watching the ad at the end)

- watching ads (you can watch three per hour. Each ad is worth between 10 and 5,000 points)

- Completing partner offers (queue points vary anywhere from 5,000 to 100k)

- Inviting others to join (1,000 points, per new member who uses your invite code)

All points earned in the orange queue are included in the green queue total, but additional points are added through the following ways:

- Purchasing Givling coins, at fifty cents apiece (these allow additional plays of the trivia game, but you do not get any more queue points from the game. Each coin purchased adds 300 points to your green queue total)

- Purchasing Givling merchandise (adds anywhere from 4,000 to 45,000 points to your green queue total)

If you purchase a sticker, which costs $6.29, you will get 4,000 green queue points. The most expensive items- the hoodie ($39.99) or the leggings ($45.99) will add 28,000 queue points. However, if you purchase both a sticker and a hoodie (total $46.28) or a sticker and leggings ($52.28), you will get 45,000 green queue points.

In the image, the difference between the user's orange queue total and green queue total is 6,470,800 points. To reach this amount, the user would have to do one of three things:

1. Purchase 144 hoodie/sticker combos, for a total of $6,654.86 (See? I told you I wouldn't blame you if you questioned my math!)

2. Purchase 144 leggings/sticker combos, for a total of $7,528.32

3. Purchase 21,570 Givling coins, for $10,785

Again, if I had that kind of money, it wouldn't be going to Givling- it would be thrown at the principal for my student loan (though, at the same time, if you've got $50k in student loan debt, and all it took was $7k to get to the top of the queue, it would make sense, in some way, to roll the dice and see if you could get funded).

If I had ten thousand dollars at my disposal, it would seem a no-brainer to me to throw it at my student loan, but apparently not on Givling. Gotta spend money to make money, right?

Shameless beg: I wish I had that kind of money to throw around, but I don't. However, if you, kind viewer, were to download the Givling app on your phone and register, using my invite code, you would be helping me in my quest to pay off my student loans before I turn 85.

Thank you for your consideration!

Support Givling, and be part of a solution to student loan debt, but at the same time, don't expect them to be able to save you.
