Not really, I'm a regional emergency dispatch tech that operates in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and soon to be Nevada. Effectiveness really depends on law enforcement response time IMHO. Also some corporate rules limit loss prevention workers for doing some things in recovering stuff.
