I think you missed the joke here. The celebrities have been on a kick about the ban and preach about politics when they can't relate to the average American. This meme is a jab at them by pointing out that if they are so worried about refugees they can give their unreasonably large gift that cost more than many Americans make in two years that they get in one night at the awards show where they are preaching about politics to the refugees. Yes they should give them to vets but they are liberals, they aren't gonna do that. Most of them dont care about vets and have their priorities out of order and speak about what they don't know hence the joke.
