I'm just some random insomniac absentmindedly going through this while researching finch speciation at 4:40 am, but I'm confused. This comment chain IS an exaggerated satire, right? It seems satirical to me, or is this how real human beings genuinely communicate on the internet?
Also, if you look closely, one pupil is really small, and the other really dilated; (This can be caused by Horner's Syndrome, another disease causing heterochromia, fun fact.) it warms my soul because my pupils are like that too. *salutes my comrade in weird eyes*
This is long, sorry, don't read it if you don't want to, but here's my personal take on the matter: I for one think her eyes are rad and like the heterochromia representation. Complete heterochromia is really rare, but still exists, and I myself have central heterochromia. It's often associated with developmental problems, injury, trauma, and a slew of diseases. It can be benign, but for her, I think there's a good chance it's linked to her muteness, hair colour and maybe other abnormalities too. (For example, Waardenburg Syndrome can cause hearing loss and change in hair, skin, and eye pigmentation.) I can't disclaim OCD being triggered by it, you're valid, but to answer the "why": that's just how people are, and it adds to her character and possible backstory nuance. She's gone through enough, she doesn't need slander for it; there are reasons people try to hide it haha.
