1. Just because it's a dub that doesn't automatically make it shitty. There's plenty of good dubs.
2. Just because it takes place in your sacred holy Japan that doesn't mean it can't be dubbed in other languages.
3. If dubs didn't exist, you wouldn't know about anime in the first place, if you were a kid growing up without internet there's no way you'd even know of it's existence.
