Actually, it has been redefined.
1 MB = 1000 KB
1 KB = 1000 B
So that's metric, but Mebibytes were introduced, which are
1 MiB = 1024 KiB
1 KiB = 1024 B
PS: bytes are still eight bits, but that's more of a scientific constant kinda thing than a simple unit conversion, so it's all still valid metric.
"freedom" was a new and exclusive thing in the 20th century. It's 2018, most countries are as free or even more free than you. You have trump as a president, wake up.
If an intentional effort to put a very expensive satellite in orbit fails, just because Americans forgot to convert from meters, there's a problem. Is it 200 countries or the three assholes who just like the Imperial system too much. For god's sake it's the Imperial system, even the empire of the British got rid of it.
