Last year, during the "protests" in Chicago following the death of George Floyd, the city's all-time high score for homicides within one 24-hour period was broken; that being a record that had stood almost 60 years, all the way back to when the Chicago PD started keeping track of that kind of thing.
All told: 18 bodies dropped in one day, Most or all of whom were black, and maybe one of them (if that) could be attributed to gunfire from either cops or National Guard troops trying to maintain a semblance of order. I can't really say what, if anything, was done about it, nor do I know if any of the assailants were ever nabbed and hauled into court to face the city's fair justice.
Of course, that generated the usual 23 seconds or so of outrage from the Left before being forgotten and never mentioned again.Say what you will about black lives mattering, blacks *deaths* mean nothing to the Left unless it's a white cop who kills them.
1) He wasn't pretending to be a cop, you moron. He had spent most of his time going around asking "protestors" and counter-protestors alike if they needed basic medical attention, or knew someone who did. A few people took him up on his offer.
He *DID* pretend to be a fireman by snuffing out a burning dumpster that some "peaceful protestors" were trying to roll into a gas station in the name of social justice. One of the "peaceful protestors," a drug-addled, girlfriend-beating serial child molester named Joe Rosenbaum, responded by acting like a chimpanzee on 3-day meth bender, and told Rittenhouse that he would "F**KIN KILL" Kyle if he had the chance.
Seems he was a man of his word; he jumped Rittenhouse and started assaulting him. Rittenhouse, being the gun-slinging sociopath he was...took off running in the opposite direction, with Rosenbaum in hot pursuit.
We all know how *that* turned out...
2) So basically, it's reasonable to suspect that if enough protestors become wary of being attacked while engaged in arson, looting, property destruc...errrrrr, I mean "peaceful protest," they're gonna start strapping up, and anyone they deem a clear threat is gonna catch a bullet in the ass? That is, they will totally "go Rittenhouse" on them. But that's okay since they're not **REALLY** Ritttenhouse, plus reasons.
Sounds like a plan; however I think it bears mention that one of the radical Lefty/SJW douchebags who turned up on the third night of <*ahem*> "protests" in Kenosha, who goes by the name "Gaige Grosskreutz," was way ahead of you. He traveled all the way from Milwaukee with a Glock stuffed in his drawers...which was a felony, given that his CCW had been revoked due to his extensive criminal record...but that's totally different, because of course it is.

Anyway, seems ol' Gaige took it upon himself to means-test your strategy when he pulled his illegally-concealed Glock, rolled up on Rittenhouse, and tried parking a .40 S&W in Rittenhouse's brainpan for no justifiable reason.
As a result of this righteous action, he's now obliged to jerk off with his left hand.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the strategy you described isn't exactly foolproof.
