Phantylacine – The Vanished Predator Pokémon (Ghost/Dark)
Size & Build
Height around 1.4 m (4′7″) at the shoulder — lean and long-limbed like a real thylacine, but with an unnatural lankiness that makes it look slightly wrong.
Slender, sinewy frame with a chest that seems too narrow, accentuating its ghostly fragility.
Body & Fur
The body is semi-transparent; you can see a faint ribcage silhouette through the misty fur.
Fur is smoky grey fading to near-black at the paws, with floating, glowing amber stripes along its back that shift subtly, as though they aren’t bound to its skin.
The hindquarters are slightly more spectral, with the legs breaking into wispy, trailing mist below the knees.
Head & Face
Long, narrow snout reminiscent of a thylacine’s, but with a more skeletal structure.
The muzzle fades to bone-white near the tip, like a skull peeking through.
Eyes glow a dim, molten yellow from deep inside the sockets, sometimes flickering like candlelight.
Jaw can open wider than it should, revealing a ghostly light within when attacking.
Tail
Thick at the base but ends in wispy vapour, which curls upward like smoke in still air.
Occasionally, faint shapes like claws or eyes appear in the mist before vanishing.
Ghostly Details
When standing still, parts of its body phase in and out like a glitching image — stripes appearing before the body, or the head turning a split second before the neck follows.
Footsteps leave no sound and no tracks, but if it wants to intimidate prey, it can leave claw marks in the ground that fade away seconds later.
When using Extinction Cry, the mist around it swirls violently, and its eyes flare brighter, casting striped shadows around it.
