i think it would work because in pokemon red and blue it is stated that ditto copies the genetic code on the pokemon it turns into so it would taste the same

now hear me out Ditto can turn into any pokemon so if it actually tastes like the pokemon it turns into it could be delicious if not I would have fried Exeggcute as it would likely taste similar to fried eggs
