i think that both games are equal in quality, it’s just that terraria’s combat system is more advanced (with there being things like magic) and in minecraft there aren’t very many options for melee weapons whereas in terraria you have multiple types of melee damage instead of just “click enemy a lot and it dies” which is also my favorite part about minecraft, it’s simple and theres no extra animation for attacking unlike terraria, where most weapons have some cool animation (e.g terraria’s zenith) for simply killing a simple enemy such as a zombie. Both games have mods that (sometimes) add cool animations for weapons such as swords and ranged weapons, now i don’t hate cool animations, i think they are great at showing what’s a strong weapon and what isn’t (for example you wouldn’t want the weakest weapon in the game (e.g minecraft’s wooden sword) having an epic animation just to deal 2 damage).
