Than we agree the popular vote was invalid, hence the illicit. However, the people do not vote directly for the president. The Electoral College does, hence the Valid. Funny how the GOP always suppresses the vote in predominantly black communities run by Democrats. Almost like Democrats are incompetent/corrupt and blame that incompetence/corruption on others.
Valid because the Electoral College nominates the president, Illicit because of the malmangement, corruption, fraud, and illegal activity conducted during the popular election vote. Only a investigation by the individual states or the Fed will uncover the illicit action. However, we know that's not going to happen. It may be covered in six months by the news like they are now covering Hunter Biden's ties the China and Russia. But again too late, the damage is done.
