Actually, Article 13 in the GCIII 1949 is about Humane treatment of prisoners. As school is somehow not prison- emphasis on the somehow- students, which the punishments are given to, are not prisoners, so this, unfortunately for the ones who want to speak to the US president, is not true. Additional evidence is that Article 13 is about prisoners of war, and that 99% of this is false anyway, as I cannot find anything concerning this in the article. :(
