I tried coming out to my best friend because it’s the first step to telling her I have a crush on her, I tried to make it a throwaway comment but idk if it worked or not.

Her: “oh what did he say”
Me: “I said hi and he replied with ‘I’m gay’ lol”
Her: “Wow talk about oversharing to someone you just met”
Me: “Ikr how do I respond”
Her: “make him uncomfortable too”
Me: “Ok I replied with ‘cool me too’
Her: “wait what”
Me: “oh that’s a lie, I’m only half gay” (I’m bi)
(Honestly idk about our conversations anymore)

If you’re more comfortable with identifying as poly, that’s completely fine, but if you want to explore more deeply into it then I recommend researching experiences and traits of pan and omni people (you could probably even get users on here to share if you asked).
But again, you should do what you feel comfortable with.
