Interestingly, Adolf Hitler was a fan of Franz von Stuck's artwork. Most famously is Hitler's connection to von Stuck's 1889 painting, "Die Wilde Jagd," which means "The Wild Hunt," or "The Wild Chase," in English. Hitler was supposed to have personally seen the painting at some point, before World War I began, and probably in combination of circumstances of the time of the war (gas masks and big facial hair not fitting correctly), settled upon that small square-ish mustache, based on this painting's depiction of the Germanic pagan god Odin. Does this mean Hitler was a cosplayer? He even wore the cape, for a brief time, in the mid-1930s. There are references to this painting that suggest he also drew inspiration from it for his oratorical (speech) style, yet how is that? Is it the gesture of the horse rider?
