We can go straight Him without rituals because all the work has already been done FOR us by Christ. To me those words feel like they are coming off the page. John is amazed at the thought that we Christians are actually CHILDREN of GOD. Can you believe that, after all the bad things we've done?! Romans 5 talks about how—as ungodly sinners before being saved—we hated God. And God certainly does not need us. But He still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today: His actual Christian children.
And it's all free. There's no priest to go through and no techniques
