If men got pregnant abortion would be a completely acceptable form of birth control.

No it wouldn't! Most of the strongest anti-abortion advocates are women. The first s a major disagreement as to whether or not a fetus is a person deserving of legal protection. That is the issue. I'm not going to pretend that issue will be resolved in this thread, but the issue would be exactly the same if men gave birth.

All the women that fought for women's right to vote had to wair for men to say it was ok.

You misunderstand; you stated "women had to wait for men to say it was O.K." as though it was within their gift to say yes or no. Whilst it is true that the legislature that passed that amendment was entirely male they had no choice in the matter.

So why wasn't it done earlier?

Like everything else in this life, until you shout long and hard enough the status quo will always prevail. The US war of independence is a classic example that you are probably familiar with.

Nobody actually gives a f**k that women are the ones getting abortions. If we were like seahorses and we gave birth, only a handful of the anti-abortion population would drop out. Hardly anyone focuses on the fact that women get abortions. Everyone cares about the fact that it's unborn children that are being killed, and nobody gives a f**k about the fact that they are women. NOBODY.

Men run shit. If men want abortion to be legal or illegal it is. If men want ro legalize gay marriage it is. And men wouldn't want the burden of having kids if they weren't ready to. So...abortion would suddenly become ok for any reason. Because men run shit.

You are so full of shit I don't know where to begin. Many men, as well as women do want abortion to be legal (and it currently is BTW), and many women as well as men would like more restrictions (or an outright ban). Gay marriage is not a men's/women's issue. Men don't bear the burden of having kids if they're not ready? A woman can use birth control. If they get pregnant and choose to keep it against the man's wishes (and currently the choice is entirely in their hands) they can sue for child support.
As for men "running shit" look around. There are female politicians, female ceos, and more anti gender discrimination laws than you can count. Women are actually more likely to go to college now than men. The only thing that might be truly holding women down at this point is their own choices, and I say this as a woman.

You either have a god complex or a victim complex. People make different choices, and that leads to different outcomes. Men cannot be blamed for the choices women make. And that's that the biggest problem with our society. If you can achieve something, it's your job to achieve it. Failure to take opportunities is not somehow societies fault.

Ok....either way. Men do. If men got pregnant a lot would be different. More medical leave, better prenatal care....the list goes on. But we dont. So it's not a big deal.

Women who care and may the biggest activists for or against abortion still have to rely on men to make things legal or illegal.
