of course it is and i fully agree that apple should provide the information. but did it ever occur to you that the term "obstruction of justice" has a technical meaning which you, in your infinite ignorance, and notwithstanding your cyber law degree (you really, really need to hang the degree somewhere!) are butchering with your misuse...

I was not using it as a legal term. Imo it is obstructing justice if you're unwilling to provide the government with the ability to stop future terrorist attacks. I know that is not the legal definition, obviously. And I would love to see your Harvard law school diploma that you so obviously possess.

my law degree isn't from harvard, but still a tier 1 law school. let's tell the world that definitions no longer matter because YOU get to decide how any phrase can and should be used. that's one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen. congratulations: you've won the internet for the day!

For a lawyer, you don't really make persuasive arguments. In hindsight, I should have used a different phrase, yes. By obstruction of justice I meant to convey my opinion that Apple is not allowing the FBI to actively pursue other terrorists who now have time to cover their tracks while Apple "stands up to" the FBI.

and whatever you think about apple's position, it doesn't take away from the fact that by standing up to the FBI, everyone on facebook and social media is talking about it (hence, it's "so hot right now")

I didn't change my position. I've given you the benefit of the doubt regarding your alleged law degree and legal knowledge. At the very least you could be courteous enough to believe me when I say I was not using the legal form of the term "Obstruction of justice". And anyways, isn't it innocent until proven guilty?
