Awesome. I loved the old blues guys. Met one once, Frankie Lee. Gave him my last joint. He was so f**kin cool.

Really? Cool. I'm from Clarksdale, Miss. Home of the Rhythm and Blues. I grew up listening to Blues. I've hung out at Morgan Freeman's Club "Ground Zero". I was a security guard at the Delta Blues Museum. Grew up not to far from Muddy Waters' childhood home. I"ve met B.B. King, Super Chicken, Robert "Bilbo" Walker, Buddy Guy and a few other "not so famous" blues singers. All were really humble guys.

You're my new hero. I used to run a little underground blues club up in northern B.C. Canada. We didn't get too many old of those guys up there. I did stage and sound for other clubs n got to meet Edgar Winter, Gordie Johnson. But when Frankie came sauntering into my club in a 3 piece suit, walked onto the stage as his band was playing and his first song he just simply counted to ten, It f**kin blew my mind. After his show we just sat and chatted and jammed till 7 am. And yes, compared to all the rockers I met, the blues guys were humble and easy going.

Wow. Blues club in Canada. I never would of thunk it but that's really cool.

I live in Manitoba now. We got a couple here in the city, but they're watered down wannabe shitholes. Zero class. Theres only so many SRV songs you can listen to over n over n over again.

That's too bad. Clarksdale isn't a huge tourist destination but for blues fans it a diamond in the rough. I moved to Alabama cause when the casinos moved in about 20 years ago the crime went up but regardless would be nice to visit for blues fans. Especially during the Delta Blues Festival.

Places I would like to go one day. Unfortunatly due to a misspeant youth, I am not welcome south of the 49th. One day.

That sucks! In that case then, I know a 15 or 16 year old kid from clarksdale that is an up and comer. He plays a mean guitar. His name is Kingfish. You should google him. He's starting to make a name for himself. I think you might like him.
