There is actually. Most Christian book stores carry easy to understand commentaries on all the different"books" of the Christian bible. I would suggest to new readers, to start with the book of genesis, then Mathew which is the first book of the new testament. Go from there. My favorite book of the bible is the book of Ecclesiastes, a proverbial book in the old testament, written by king Saul, the son of king David of Jewish fame. I would definitely pick up a knjv version of the bible, after you read it, you will be able to understand older writings. Good luck ????
