In the 60s and early 70s I had no clue what gay was, all I knew was Paul Lynde was funny as hell. I wish I didn't have to know who was what now.

Yeah but even as a 7 yr old I knew there was something say...different about him & Charles Nelson Riley. All I know is that his snark & his delivery was always right on target.

It was brilliant, and yes you knew he was different, different being that he was funnier than everybody else on the show! :) I love the line, not sure where it came from, "who knew Liberace was gay, we just thought he was THEATRICAL"

He and Don Rickles were my favorites. I gravitate toward snark in my humor

Don was genius... as was Tim Conway and Jonathon Winters.

Oooh. Jonathan. He was one-of-a-kind. If you haven't already, you need to read his book, Winter Tales. And his bits with Robin Williams are priceless.

Those two in the same room was insane. I could not even imagine trying to direct Mork and Mindy when winters joined!
