Playing with dolls is not a bad thing, but boys don't usually end up playing with them, so I would try to get him to play with 'boy' toys, but if he likes dolls . . . Well, fine. Although it depends on the reason . . .
It's not bad for them to play with dolls because it is imagination. But when someone who doesnt have a son tells me I'm a bad parent because I believe princess toys & books are for girls I get aggrivated.
I wanna raise a prince who will take care of his princess
Yeah, I know. It's sometimes like women are trying to be men, so they are releasing all 'girl' stuff and calling girls who like girly stuff 'a girl under men's oppression' or something
I knew a lesbian couple who adopted a son. One treated him like a girl with a pink bike, etc. the other one left her over that issue. When he grew up I heard he was quite the ladies' man. Hmm...maybe boys should play with dolls so they can understand women better!!
I don't think its wrong for a boy to like pink, or play with dolls... My issue is when someone who only has girls, gets on my case because I would rather buy an Abc book with 'boy' pictures rather than a purely princess Abc book lol.
My boys play with their sisters dolls and stuff just fine, but that doeant mean I'm comfortable putting them in pink ruffled dresses and tiaras.
The issue was that she was raising a boy as a girl according to her own desire, not hardly considering what was best for him. Heck, I remember drawing a weewee on my aunt's doll to make it anatomically correct-ish. I didn't understand her disgust when I was five.
