I have to agree. Many claim to be strong supporters of the Constitution, until it gets in the way of what they want, then they proclaim "but, but, but that's different". And I am a pretty strong conservative.

That's a great point. This is an underrated comment. People claim they're "dedicated" to a religion, but they only preach the interpretations that are convenient to them and give them an excuse for bigotry and genocide (*Cough Westboro* *Cough ISIS*). Yet, when ever someone disagrees with one part of the constitution, they're deemed un-American and are accused of hating the country. No document is perfect, and not everyone will agree with every article and amendment. That's why congress can pass new amendments. Let's remember that at one point, the constitution was used to justify slavery. But congress fixed that and passed the thirteenth amendment. The point is, the Bible ought not be cherry picked. I actually find a lot of people who DON'T even believe in the Bible doing the cherry picking. As soon as a person corrects them on the particular part they've cherry picked, they say 'that's not how I read it' and fail to see their own convoluted thinking.
