All the many forms of birth control gives them control. Flippantly creating and taking lives should never be viewed as a form of birth control. Why are men not afforded the same "complete control" of his reproduction? So, it is the woman's body, you say..but it is also another's life! Since it is her body, she should be extra cautious about getting pregnant in the first place. And please don't bring up the small percentage that are raped or whose life is in danger. That is just an excuse to take millions of helpless lives and pacify their conscious to do so.

Sorry Mr Socrates but hypocrite is the wrong word, I'm not espousing one view and pursuing another. I personally could not condone the abortion of a child that is my responsibility. But the whole point of the meme is that it is not, nor should it ever be, a decision made by statute. Using this issue as a touchstone to define "liberals" and "conservatives" appears, to an outsider, just to add the schism in American politics. p.s. A note on manners, I am not pretending anything.
