Invicta. The police are needed. They are supposedly trained to deal with intense situations. I don't fault a police officer rolling up on a kid with what looks to be a real gun defending himself or the public with deadly force. But when video shows a cop unloading his weapons magazine into a man's back for no reason. That's trigger happy. That's not protecting.

We are in agreement. What I am saying is.. street crime gets blamed on guns. Cop crimes get blamed on cops. We have criminals that shoot each other in the back.. and the social justice warriors blame the gun. . Not the shooter. Cop guns don't get blamed. . Cops get blamed. Street crime gets ignored.. and gun control becomes the answer for gun violence in the street. It's a different standard if there is a dirty cop... the whole dept gets tagged as dirty. . Or all cops across the country. Why do civic leaders.. politicians. . Ignore gun violence in the street when its thug on thug? Media only cares when it's a cop on anyone crime. How does that help lower street crime?

Not really. A relatively small and not really well trained person can mow down people with a gun in a much more effective manner than with say a knife. Pulling a trigger in a crowded room is much more efficient that running around trying to stab people. Even by the least trained person. No mass shooters seem to NOT know what they are doing. At least enough to kill a good number of people. They probably aren't expert marksmen but again....you don't need to be.

In a contained environment and up close with a reliable firearm does have a greater chance at inflicting casualties... true.. but look at rds spent vs casualties by a non skilled shooter in say... Paris. It's pray and spray. An in either of those scenarios there would be less casualties if there was a half way trained armed citizen. Look at rds spent vs casualties.. pathetic shooting really. It was only successful to them because they met no resistance and we're able to slaughter at whim. One good armed citizen.. would have changed that outcome.. several even better. Still, banning guns won't help. If a person wants to commit a mass murder, he will get a gun, the same way convicted criminals get guns.

Gun ownership is illegal by some citizens.. yet they still have guns. We will always need cops to assist law abiding from criminals.. even if we were all armed or unarmed. But where did I say we should all have guns? I believe all citizens who are legal to own.. should have that right. Not everyone wants to own a gun.. whether within their rights or not. . And some.. like my father.. has no use for a handgun. Never did. He believed he could do everything with a (rifle). Hunt.. protect, etc.
