Meme just mentioned "beliefs", a sort of poorly verified information, which does grind my own gears when fussed about.

she did it because Christianity is against Homosexuality, at least not the popes Christianity which is now just making stuff up. Her actions were based on her religion, is a religion not some sort of belief?

I'm not against anyone believing anything until it's scientifically proven that - note well - believing is dangerous. Not "acting according to beliefs", just believing in itself. And that these people don't try to impose beliefs without democratic appeal... And good reason.
In my opinion, you avoid dropping a brick on your foot coz you KNOW the... material... is gonna hurt. You don't need to believe it. I WILL prefer knowledge to belief anyday.

Then there's experience of such things. You can experience gravity and verify gravity, and then, gravity is knowledge... Thus objective...
You can experience God, and find the universe amazing, and... It's the beginning of what should be a lo of poetry, the starts of the love story between consciousness and the mighty universe to discover and learn from...Maybe embellish it where we can...

Every christian Religion has its difference, some believe hey should shove religion down your throat because you HAVE to do it or you go to hell, which is true but not very pleasant to the ear. Then there are Christians who speak of gods wonder and great love for his people and instead of making you believe they convince you believe with the wonderful story of love, because in the end thats what the bible is, a love story from god to his people (at least most of it). is that what you meant by embellish it?

Nah, even though some tales do embellish reality. I just mean... Gardens you can live in... Open spaces, "wild cultures"... When I mean embellish, I really mean broaden freedom in beautiful ways. Different ways, but with a strong sense of earhtly and cultural identity, which only serve the bettering of mankind through meditation, arts of all kinds, the discreet integration of villages in nature... The thriving of science, freedom... A kind of golden age of "taking one's time to think : anyway, isn't that what makes a human?". The development of our nature according to that - our intellectual, moral abilities... An exercice of freedom. Checking what it actually means, rather than imposing one go***mn "ideological" system at a time... Trying for experimental ideologies, micro ideologies, always trying to enchant the lives of everyone with the resources of our very potent universe, and... Beautiful nature. Dangerous, but exciting, and sometimes dark... Trying to enjoy the night, the cool, fresh air... Exposing ourselves to reality anew, leaving the comfort which leaves us soft...

And so forth, sorry for the looselesness, I just try to express my feelings about life in general, I really... I don't approve of the context of our times, nor of what our ideologies do with our identities... I feel sorry for us all. Without being depressed, I don't react well to injusice, nor to stupidity, and unfortunately, that's what, apparently, does lead the human race.

A poet? I don't know haha poets tend to be dramatic when acting out their poems, care to demonstrate? Lol and I see the world similarly although with one key difference, that fact that we are not complete without God nor free without Christ Jesus, i.. As a Christian view life as a battleground, we should cherish gods creation to the fullest and try to be as successful as possible before the eyes of God having our testimony be our good fruit. But keeping in mind that we will at some point lose it all for something better or worse. You see we were created and inherited sin the day we were born, and because of it we fall short of the glory of God. Which is why if we are to be truly free, and if we are to truly to enjoy life for what it is then we must first free ourselves from the chains put upon us by society and the sin of our great great great great ancestors through Christ Jesus. In the end we were made from dust and dust we will become, so we must cherish every moment god allows us to have should we not?

There's room for everyone, albeit those who claim there's only space for them. Sorry for swearing then,didn't mean to offend...Though I do expect God could condemn the flaws in our system... As for what I was saying, even though I don't speak of it as a belief, or a christian related point of view - I'm of mixed beliefs is anything, something of a mix between the gnosticism brought to me by the Corpus Hermeticum and Buddhism -
I think that, if there's a God anywhere, and even if he's just as silent as the ballet of planets and atoms, he would still approve of my opinion, because it doesn't go against nature, and furthermore, it demands observation, study, and devotion to the embellishment of that temple which is nature. Sometimes... Therefore, if I had to appeal to a religious authority, I would try to observe and be thankful for the lot of what he has created, especially starting with being bold about the feelings, states of mind and presence of mind potentially encoded within our nature...

But yeah, without being a Christian, I can approve of your view on life - we should indeed cherish every moment, and maybe even make an effort into making our own, human image, more decent, or graceful.

the thing with religion is that you cannot prove nor disprove and with that in mind you cannot say it is a belief, and you can also not say it is common knowledge because science cant back it up nor disprove it, religion is nothing, but yet everything and it will remain that way until we find evidence to back one of those up. To a Christian its KNOWLEDGE to and atheist or agnostic its a BELIEF. It all depends on the person
