Whale's are mammals, they have blow holes so they can breathe oxygen, they COULD live on land but not for very long. (Their food sources live in the ocean of course)

The weight of a whale's body would crush its internal organs, including its lungs, which would cause it to suffocate. Plus, their skin would dry up and burn in the sun
