Two questions, one comment:

1. "Residing among you" - that covers those that are already here. Does that mean that we should also blindly take more in?

2. "Be treated as your native-born" - does that mean amnesty and automatic citizenship? If so, why even have borders or be a nation? That sounds like a slippery slope towards the new world order.

3. I get your point, really, and I can't speak for all Christians, but "hate" and Christianity don't go together. I know that it is a popular straw man myth to say that they do. (Some will quickly point out the Crusades, or the church's stance during the Holocaust, or pedophilia, or whatever, but those are the Christian institutions, not the teachings of Christ) What most LOGICAL people really want is common sense immigration policy. We should only allow in as many immigrants as our country needs at a given time. Those that come in should do so LEGALLY. Refugees should be carefully vetted so that terrorists are not in their midst. That's NOT hatred.

Thanks. This guy has been posting this exact comment as a reply to other people's memes. He finally posts it as his own and he can't back anything up in an honest debate.

I don't need to debate it (the bible or verses within)...like others don't when it suits their needs. It says what it says. It's pretty clear. Like creation and everything else others deem truth within the Bible, right?

Oh- and I wouldn't be responding counter-memes and comments to all the far right/conservative/Christian memes if they weren't posted so heavily. It gets a bit tiring for those looking to laugh at non political/non religious memes. I do have the right to post memes/comments right?

Oh- And I include sexist/racist memes as "political". I never see us "Libtards" posting too many "make fun of the white guy" memes (unless it's Red Neck Randal or Almost PC Redneck....they are kinda funny.) or "make fun of the Christian" memes....but you see plenty from the other side making jabs at Muslims, Jews, Black people, etc...

So- I plan to reply to those memes with comments and facts and maybe even memes that make MY point of view known. Like it or not.

I can't answer the questions....the bible says it so there is no reason to question it. Many users on this page believe the bible verbatim so maybe they can chime in and explain why, in this case, translation is necessary.

Maybe you cherry picked a verse would explain. Are you yourself a Christian?

It's a cherry picked verse used in migration theology... not mistreating visitors or condemning like in the old testament. It does not mean "support". It means do not take advantage of. This came as a slap in Mexicos face about their mistreatment of immigrants,.. robbed, raped etc,.. this decade. I am sure there is MANY opinions about this,.. but it is my understanding.

they "must be treated as native-born" seems pretty clear. Treat them as well as anyone else that was born in your homeland. Period. Again- some people seem fine with "translating" the Bible as to what it means when/where/if it suits their narrative. Like you said "I am sure there is MANY opinions about this"

treating them as native born would be fair,.. equally under the law and not a 2nd class citizen as in Muslim countries where non muslims not treated equally. I don't think it means "support",... or "special treatment above the citizens of that country". How about I make this my homily in church,.. you can guest speak. ;)

But we're not talking about Muslim countries or how they treat anyone. We are talking about how Christians should treat foreigners. Let's stay on point.

I don't know how/why you would read "support" or "special treatment above the citizens of that country" when it clearly states they should be treated as "native-born" I don't get your movement to those aspects....Maybe we should treat our native born better? I still don't see how that effects anything. Muslims don't use the bible as their holy book. Either way we are talking about Christians and how they treat foreigners.
