My cousin gets food stamps... Sells em to me... I know that's part of the problem but I got kids and I'm not going hungry

We do what we have to do for the family. Not sure what state you're in,... but the abuse down in GA is horrific. People who need the assistance are barely over the limit of income,.. get nothing. People who refuse to work,.. live a better life. A house in my neighborhood went Section 8. The house has one of the few pools in the neighborhood... no one works,... 2 cars in the driveway newer than mine. I have another neighbor who was a good provider,... got in a motorcycle accident,.. and is struggling. His VA disability increased about $120,... put him over the limit and he lost his food stamps and needed them! has three kids. The system needs repair.

Yeah, I know a family in section 8, one works but only works part time to get the most out of the system. $190 for food stamps for one adult person. I never actually tried to see if I qualify. Me and my family live above the poverty line and I know how to make it work for us. But an unexpected bill or a tragic accident could put me in a bad spot to support my family. So I'm going to go back to school and get my bachelors. I just need help from my family with my kids. Such is life.

we went through the same thing! got reduced to one income! It was tough times! we made it work,... very tight! I'm so worried about the next election bro,.. economy, national security, and immigration issues a big one for me.

I'm a single father of 3... 2 I pay child support, 1 I have custody. I get 50% disability which is around 1k a month. I work maintenance and "spot jobs"... Nothing I have right now is a secure means. which is why i have to find something... Until then... Hopefully I get to use what's left of my GI bill and then I should qualify for voc rehab

Man,... gotta admire dads that do their best! I have a problem with refugees getting more benefits than vets,... a serious problem! It's wrong.
My hat is off to you sir! I have a spotty past when I got my kid many years ago. I worked as much as I could to make ends meet with anything. I reposessed cars,.. worked security in bar,.. and some stuff I would not want to mention. had mega legal bills,.. sold everything I had of value. Tough times. I hope the VA comes through for you brother,.. you just gained a prayer from GA. ;)

We are brothers in arms... It's just too bad our enemy is our government.

IKR,... and going to get worse bro,.. I really am concerned this next election. Obama nor Hillary care much for the military
