Not calling God stupid at all. I can love foreigners as I love myself but it doesn't mean we allow those with evil intentions to flood into our country under the disguise of a refugee preying upon our weakness of love for all.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you" Luke 10:19
Perhaps the power over the serpent is knowledge of their evil intentions and our ability to trample them is to shut them out of our country where they can not hurt us while taking the fight to them on their soil. It's all a matter of interpretation.
