Yeah unfortunately 3rd wave feminism has tarnished the good will of the cause. Im not even for equal treatment because men and women dont do equal work. For physically demanding professions, its practically impossible
Patriarchy is a great thing, because you don't want a society of emotionally based creatures making decisions based off how they feel. That's not a downgrade comment to women, it's just the way it is.
