Bottom line, you can protests against Christians and any Christian symbology until the cows come home because a) it's accepted by a large part of society and b) because Christians turn the other cheek. The religion itself is inanimate. Like a gun. I brought that up because it's a very similar comparison. Ypu can't blame the "religion" as much as you can't blame a gun for killing people. A Koran will sit on a table and do nothing...like a gun...or a bible. It takes people to commit atrocities like 9/11. If we didn't have religion their hate for us would be driven in other ways.
