I think it went away because of the internet, on demand programming, and DVR's. There isn't any point to trying to watch 2 shows at once anymore since they can be watched later.

Not to be technical, but Dish's hopper DVR gives you that ability, but I still don't use it :)

I Don't care to use anything by dish network my brother was scammed by them.

Dish didn't scam him, a salesrep did, but I get your point.
