Because the tune of an Ocarina is the only thing that can cast spells like that... Duh... :p

Also, Saria's Ocarina goes away after your encounter with Ganondorf because Ganondorf takes it off of you thinking that it's the Ocarina of Time... I just found that out... By reading the manga... And thought it was a cool little fact... I'm done now... :p

yes, and your silver gauntlets go away when you get the golden gauntlets because Nabooro thought they were the golden gauntlets, and the hookshot goes away when you get the longshot because Dampe (who is dead in a graveyard), took the hookshot back from you. I'm not hating on you, but that just doesn't make sense...

no, but.... i read it in da manga... link drops it and ganondorf picks it up thinking its the OoT... :p

because he was chasing after Zelda FOR the Ocarina...
