Nope! Moonrise happens a little LATER each night, not earlier.
If the moon rises at, let's say, 2:00 on any given night, it will rise just before 3:00 the next night.
Trust me on this...I have selenophobia!
Actually, it takes about 27 days for the moon to orbit the earth or about a moonth(not a typo). A day is the time it takes for the earth to complete a rotation.

Yes, but we're talking about elapsed time between individual consecutive moonrises (or moonsets) in respect to a viewer on earth. ;)
