I hate seeing or hearing about animal cruelty. I have a hard time watching ASPCA or PETA commercials.

Yeah. All my pets have come from shelters not stores. And any rescued pet loves you ten fold.

Me too. I think my cats might love me more than I love them (which is saying a lot). Any bred animal isn't as important to rescue.

Cats are mentally incapable of love. The only emotion they feel is anger. Your cats would eat you alive if they were bigger and/or stronger than you.

My pets have always known an indoor life and they couldn't fend for themselves. To leave them outside during the winter is cruelty. You're trying to agitate me by saying I'm frail aren't you?

I'm saying people tend to anthropomorphize pets to the extent that they think they're as susceptible to environmental conditions as humans are. Also, yes.

Yes I did look up that big word. I know that animals and humans are different in many ways. We just love them and want to protect them. Almost as you would do for your child.
