You seem to be confusing religion and politics. Immigration does actually have and affect on a society as well as its economy, not always good. And a majority of conservatives don't mind immigration, it is illegal immigration they have a problem with. Abortion also has an affect on another person, the unborn child as well as the father, if he even has a say in the matter. Science in class, that would be religion again and not all people who identify as conservative are religious. Now I do not know about everything being linked to politics, taxes, or the constitution that is a bit of a stretch. But I will agree the government does try and get their fingers around any and everything they can. And that is not really a left or right issue, more of a greedy or corrupt government official problem.

The right doesn't care how you live as long as you're required to say the pledge of allegiance and prayers in schools, don't get an abortion, aren't a Muslim, don't bitch when they fight dogs and chickens, don't complain when corporations pollute your air and water, don't confront them with facts, etc. etc. etc.
