I don't think that stuff Obama says actually means anything. They're just words to fill speeches.

But yes, I think it would be good for people to talk more openly about the threat that Islam presents to the West.

I see the religion itself as a threat. The value system of Islam is incompatible with Western democracy.

Well, yes, Islamic democracies have failed before, but mostly because of tension between the two branches of islam, sunni and shia. This happened between catholics and protestants in Northern Ireland before.

Also, any religion interpreted in a radical way is dangerous. The KKK had a huge cross in all of their meetings and the Nazis taught racist creation stories based on the Christian god to their students.
