The Upvote Fairy Has....already been here?

it's happened a few times now. i'll be like "who are you? let's check your stuff and give you some ups" and i struggle to find something i like that i haven't upvoted at some other point in time. i don't know what to do then

I hear ya, done that quite a few time, in fact about a half hour before your meme posted. :) All you can do upvote what you like and leave some comments. From someone who was new not that long ago, I can tell you a few good encouraging comments is all that's needed.

What I do in those cases is I keep scrolling through their memes, and click on the ones that have a large amount of comments on it. Chances are, that person will have a few comments responding to people on their meme, so I'll upvote their comments.

Also, if you use the URL to go back far enough in their memes (if you've sorted them by "Latest"), then you can find some that you might not have upvoted yet, if they signed up to imgflip before you did. That's pretty much all I can think of.
